WORLD ROBOT OLYMPIAD 2015 – Doha, QA (Gold Medal)

PROJECT M.E.C.H, 2015

M.E.C.H stands for mechanically enhanced crisis handler. This project is aimed at reducing the risk of underground mining. Over the years there has been numerous cave ins in mines across the world with some taking longer than a month to rescue the trapped miners. Project MECH consists of an exoskeleton suit, land drone, and a tracking drone above the mines. This solution could potentially reduce the rescue time to a matter of days when implemented and will save more lives in the process. YouTube link: https://youtu.be/5iqqs37ucow

WORLD ROBOT OLYMPIAD 2014 – Sochi, RU (Finalist, 6th Place, Excellence Award)

PROJECT APOLLO, 2014

This project is based on the concept of a futuristic preparation and early warning system on Mars. NASA has the ambition to plan a manned mission to Mars but they have not reached to a conclusion because of the dangers of the rocky terrain and unpredictable weather on Mars. Project Apollo 2020 is the key to this problem. It allows humans to further study the terrain as well as the atmosphere before planning a mission. The project also has the means to study the weather and various natural phenomenon on the red planet. For example, the project can provide early warnings as well as collect geothermal evidence from an impending mars-quake.
